What To Expect

Unlike a hospital, an ambulatory surgery center caters to the needs of patients who do not anticipate a long stay.

Before Your Appointment

Prior to your admission, you will be contacted by phone by a SCSO staff member to determine your individual needs. Your doctor’s office will instruct you as to what paperwork you need to bring with you.

Expect to be greeted promptly on arrival by our friendly, experienced staff. You will meet your health care team (Anesthesiologist, RN, and other health care professionals) during your stay with us.

Your Surgery

Your procedure will be performed in our modern Surgery Suites. All the latest technologies and equipment are utilized at SCSO.

After your surgical procedure, you’ll spend a short time recovering in our 1st level recovery area. Then you’ll move to a comfortable lounge chair to continue recovering. At this point, your family members can join you in a relaxed, family oriented environment.

Going Home

You will be going home with full home care instructions. Remember that you cannot drive yourself home and will need a designated driver.

We anticipate that you will have a positive experience at our Surgery Center. We look forward to caring for you and your family.
