Position Summary
We are seeking a flexible candidate who has interest in learning and assisting with surgical procedures in the operating room setting. This position requires strong clinical and critical thinking skills and the ability to provide individualized patient care in various clinical departments based on the patient census throughout the Surgery Center. The LPN assists the department managers in the daily operations of the clinical areas and functions as a liaison for patients and physicians while delivering high standards of patient care and safety in accordance with SCSO policies and procedures, Oregon Nurse Practice Act, local, state, and federal regulations, accreditation standards and professional best practice under the supervision of the responsible RN.

Job Title: LPN - Pain Clinic, Pre-Op and PACU
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented LicensedPractical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pain Clinic, Pre-Op and PACU (PostAnesthesia Care Unit) team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptionalnursing care to patients before and after surgical procedures, ensuring safety,comfort, and quality throughout the perioperative process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including assessments, education, and documentation.
- Provide post-anesthesia monitoring, pain management support, and discharge education.
- Monitor and record vital signs, IVs, and patient progress per physician and RN direction.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the nursing team to support safe and efficient patient flow.
- Maintain accurate and timely charting in compliance with ASC policies and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to infection control, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in the State of [Oregon].
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred (or willing to obtain).
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred (pre-op, PACU, or surgical setting highly desirable).
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to patient-centered care.
